Watch News | TAG Heuer, Hublot & Zenith Join Baselworld Exodus
Less than a week ago five of Baselworld's most important exhibitors: Rolex, Patek Philippe, Tudor, Chanel and Chopard announced they would not be attending Baselworld in 2021 leaving its future looking uncertain. Only a few days on and it looks like Baselworld may be set to close its doors after TAG Heuer, Hublot, Zenith and Bulgari also joined the mass exodus.
LVMH has announced all four of its watch brands will leave Baselworld Stéphane Bianchi, CEO of the LVMH Watchmaking Division, has announced that TAG Heuer, Bulgari, Hublot and Zenith will not be exhibiting at Baselworld in 2021, believing that the 100 year old event is now an unsuitable platform to talk to customers and journalists.
What happens next? Bulgari has already announced that they will be joining the new group of exhibitors in Geneva, the historical capital of watchmaking, in 2021, but TAG Heuer, Zenith and Hublot have not yet reached a final decision on their plans.
